Kelaniya Temple cycling excursion from Colombo.

The Red Dot Sales Team recently took the challenge of cycling from Arkady Villa in Talangama to Kelaniya. The tour was organised by Action Lanka, one of the premier adventure operators in Sri Lanka.  The cycle tour is approximately 18km in a loop and can be arranged at very short notice. The tour begins from Arkady Villa in Talangama, a 30 min drive from central Colombo. We set off at three in the afternoon after a briefing with a slight drizzle to add more to our challenge.  All the bikes used are specialized 2007/8 model Rock Hoppers, whch are in extremely good condition. The cycle tour takes about 3 hours and takes all the`adi paras’ (dirt roads) and across many paddy fields, through local villages and small by-roads. After about 10km, the journey takes you along side the banks of the Kelani River.
